Making a Difference, Changing Lives

By: Sheryl Murrah

As a servant, the Word of God teaches us to “Serve people that are in Need” Matt 25:23.  For 2017, the goal was to raise $15,000, but God blessed us with over $23,000. The Compassion Haitian Leaders want to personally thank everyone who supported and contributed to make “Going Hard for God in Haiti 2017” successful. Make no mistake, we still have much more work to do. The goal for 2018 is $25,000.00. We are in fundraising mode.

In March of 2017 the team consist of individuals from across the United States.
Our journey consists of serving villages, orphanages, schools, churches, the prison and the elderly home. We provided food, hygiene supplies, shoes, clothing, school supplies and monetary donations. We have several projects that we are supporting in Haiti; The Goat Program, Tabitha's Fish Project, Victory4Haiti (education), and more. These projects helps the people of Haiti to sustain and to be self-sufficient.

The plan was to support 23 locations, “But God,” had another plan. We were able to support over 45 entities. That's the God we serve. “God Wastes Nothing”.

The Churches in Haiti serve for multiple purposes in people lives. The Church is a place of worship, the school, a place of refuge and orphanages. If a child can’t eat at home the only meal they may receive is at the Church school. Unlike America, the Haitian people have to pay for public schools, unless the Church can provide tuition; the child will not attend school. Please “Be A Servant, Leave Your Legacy in Haiti 2018”.
